Hi there, the Grip 82 is my most used waveboard/our best seller size. So you can be sure we tested this very carefully to be sure the planing is at least as good, for sure not worse. Feedback so far is very good. You can read about the product details on the website page, but generally in the 68-82 size we made smaller adjustments on rocker position, bottom shape, which have a very good effect on the waveriding. On the bigger sizes 86 (which is like a blown up 82, just thicker and slightly wider) and the 92/102, the changes to 2018/19 models are more visible, with narrower centre shapes, bit more dome deck and some bottom features that make these bigger boards feel quite a bit smaller underfoot. I´m also sharing my 68/75/82 Grips with 4 family members when we are in Cape Town, so they are even using the 82 on complete flat water too - so we know how important the flat water performance is - on the same day my wife/kids will use it with a 5.3 on the fresh water Vlei, afterwards I am out on it in mast high waves - so it has to be a very good allrounder - you´ll be more than happy with the 2020 version, the difference on the wave is noticeable and worth the upgrade for sure.
