I have been riding this board it seems like forever (maybe 10+ years), and it has been like the perfect board for my conditions on Lake Michigan, enough flotation to get me through iffy winds with shorebreak or gusty offshore winds with a 6.0 sail, but extremely smooth in rough chop. I liked it on day 1, never changed my opinion.
So this board might wear out soon, and I want the next one to have everything this one has, but possibly a little extra. At my age its getting a little harder to uphaul when necessary, so I'd like a slightly more stable static platform. I'd like it to perform just as well on the 6.0 if possible but also to handle an 8.0 freeride sail. I've tried the Cross 120 with an 8.0, and it worked, but maybe not getting the full benefit of the potential power of the sail. I'm wondering how a Blast 115 would work to replace this old board, in particular how the shape and extra 2 cm width might improve the uphaulability but hopefully not its smooth performance in choppy 6.0.
