Thanks for your reply. Good to hear that the board will work without too much tail kick. I wouldn't want to change it for aesthetic reasons, I prefer the original paint job on the board😉 If I would change the tail kick, it would be for performance reasons. I use the board for GPS speedsailing on pretty flat water with 6.3 and 7.0 and always loved the loose and flighty feeling of the Falcons.
So far I have only been able to sail the board once. The conditions were cold in the Netherlands, but had a lot of fun on my new board. I really liked the general feeling of the board (control, ease of use, range and gybing), but the conditions weren't there to test the top speed of the board yet. In a few runs I could feel some of the potential of the board, but because of the tail shape I was wondering if that might harm the performance at top speed. I would hate to be slower than my surfbuddies on the new Falcon 89 😉
