Hi there, in % is always tricky to measure, it depends on the sail size/amount of wind. A FW board of any brand is specifically designed to plane super early and to be used mainly with sails of 10-12.5sqm. Some people use them as Light wind boards too, with smaller sails, but they generally don´t feel that good unless partnered with the sail sizes they were designed for - 10-12sqm? Also, these FW shapes are intended for straight upwind/downwind sailing, so generally they want to take off upwind as soon as you jump on them.
Our Falcon light wind was intended to be a lot more fun and easier to sail in light winds, not requiring quite as big of a sail as the idea is mainly in and out sailing, downwind or moderate upwind sailing. So besides the narrower centre, the tail is also much narrower than a classic FW board. This also makes it quite nice for foiling, as a too wide tail for recreational foiling is also more difficult to sail.
You can plane with the LW in winds of approx 8-12knots, depending on your skills and sail size/fresh or salt water. I´d say vs a classic FW shape, maybe 5-10% later to get going, on the other hand probably 30-40% easier and more fun for sailing in and out and especially gybing. Plenty of good feedback here on the LW in general from other users, often people whose only option in the past was a FW board, now enjoying a shape that is actually fun to ride and does not need extreme sail sizes - goes well from 8.4 upwards...
