Hi Jörg, indeed, that was around 20+yrs ago, I was a Fanatic tester back then, Trim box and footstrap quick mount systems - those were great concepts, but I remember at the time that it was often very difficult to get the trim box "blocks" to move once you had used them a few times. As well as the problem with finding matching fins from all the different systems back then - which is why we switched to Power, Tuttle and US boxes now, according the main usages of the different boards - pretty much industry standards. We have found over time that the "perfect" fin position on most Freeride and Slalom models have been refined enough that adjustment is not really necessary. On our waveboards, you still have the option to move the fins according to conditions, weight etc.
Similarly the quick lock footstraps were great, until some tolerance in both pad thickness/insert quality and actual footstrap part supplies became an issue, as which stage we decided to switch to the current standard screw system.
