HI craig, great, thx a lot for answering so quick and providing all the very valuable info, which helps me a lot.
If I can go up with the 1500 to 20kn then the option Stingray 125 + 1500 wing sounds really best for me as beginner looking at light wind (some seldom gusts can also at light wind days exceed easily the 20kn on the lakes around but I learned already that sometimes it is wise to take not every gust, if your gear is much to big). Anyhow, if I start to love foiling more than fin sailing, I can still buy a 1000 later on for more speed and higher wind range ( the system will be around/supported for some years, right?).
.
Three more questions which came into my mind after reading your answe. If you find time I would be happy if you can answer them too::
a)You mention that the 1500 Flow has newer design, I thought both are new 1000 and 1500?
b) Stingray 140 has no advantage for me with the bigger foil? Is the board only in the line-up for heavier riders (>90kg) and bigger sails > 8qm/9qm? In principle that is fine for me, because I like small boards more, but I would like to understand.
c) Is there a lower limit (where it gets typically uncomfortable) for the sails you can put onto the Stingray 125 (and what would you use for the upper limit (near 20kn)?. I have currently a 4.4., 5.2 Super Session (which I only use on a freewave STB (which is also great (if I am at the baltic sea with enough wind)) and 5.8, 6,6 and 7,.8 E-Type which I mainly use with the Blast. 7.8. as the standard sail for the lakes around here.
Thanks,
Mab
