I'm really, really enjoying the blast 145 when it's high wind enough to use the fin but I'm also trying to get into foiling.
I'm just under 90kg and have the slingshot 76 wing usually set up in the "C", or furthest forward position for the most lift. I think I flew some when I first tried in position "A", or furthest back, but that was a high wind day and could not get on the foil since (even with an 8.0), in the low wind, in A so I started trying C.
Yesterday I was on it in low wind, but 10+ knots and a 9.5 Cheetah, and I could feel something in the foil start lifting, but it wasn't speeding up. It was also one of those times where someone got some pictures of me. It looked like the board was plowing the water.
I think the foil is maybe too far forward, trying to lift too early and generating too much drag?
Not sure if anyone has experience with this setup but any advice would be appreciated. It seems like with a big sail like that I should be starting to get further than than in the 10 knot range but I'm new to foiling and don't know what to expect. I was almost planing earlier that day when I had a fin instead of foil on the board.
