The bigger Falcons got a bit heavier due to the foil boxes. With the current Slalom World Champion riding our boards to victory, we feel pretty safe with our constructions, others feel perhaps they can go lighter? I guess experience with the various brands will show who has made the right choice. Like any composite product, weight is not the only factor - stiffness, durability etc are also pretty important for the price paid? And finally we also do add some tolerance to our weights, to be on the safe side.
Personally when I ride my 97L slalom board with a 6.2 in 30knots, I'm pretty happy to keep the nose down, so the weight is not that important on the smaller sizes, but each person will of course have different needs/wishes.
