Hello,
I am looking to build a single board quiver, due to budget and storage limitations.
Most of my windsurfing is on freshwater and the conditions I usually sail in are in between 8-30+ knots. The place I sail at is usually very choppy so I am looking for something that would be good for these conditions.
I am 86kg dry, 194 cm tall and comfortable in the harness and straps, not gybing yet, waterstarting occasionally and can uphaul anything in any conditions. My main goal in windsurfing has been simply blasting back and forth.
What board would you recommend for this, I am going to get a sail quiver of 8.3, 7.3 and 6.3 and would sail in conditions that match these sails. These are the sails I usually sail with at my club sometimes even a 9 but I am hoping that a 8.3 cambered sail is going to beat the rotational 9.
At my club I usually sail a Starboard 131 or 141 depending on availability but found that even the 131 can be difficult to keep in the water when overpowered and choppy. Some of it is caused by my stance which I recognised recently and have been working on.
So this is the brief, I am looking for a board that is good in chop on fresh water for a weekend sailor like me.
Your advice will be appreciated,
Bertalan
