Hi!
I need to start again with my board and sail quiver to suit me better. I sail on the sea in Finland, in an archepelago, so it is pretty gusty and shifty wind and choppy when windy, also not very salty. Winds are mainly light, and max range really of 10-20 knots. I am 73kg and have been windsurfing for 30 years, but still don't know what kit I need! I of a reasonable standard, I plane out of most gybes, jump, wave ride when I can, but mainly mow the lawn to be honest!
I currently have a fanatic skate 108 te from 2009 and 4.7,5.4 and 6.4 wave sails from about the same time. This was a result of me condensing my quiver from 3 boards to 1 and 5 sails to 3, a decision I regret! I have never really got on with this board, I find the stance too inboard and it often just feels the wrong size. I am often underpowered and just longing for something to just blast about on comfortably and throw about a bit when the ramps are playing.
I am thinking a two board quiver would probably work better and maybe getting onto freeride foiling might be a sensible way to extend my water time. I recently tried a quottro power 105 and a goya custom 3 91, which were both lovely, but it was 5.4 weather somewhere more wave than my normal spot. I was hoping to stick with Fanatic as I have like other Fanatic boards in the past. If I could get away with one board for everything that would be awesome, but it didn't go too well last time I tried! Oh and I will replace my sails too.
Sorry to write so much! Hope you can help!
