Hi, I am just getting going with a wing on a new 7’8 Bee with the 1750HA wing, AL3.0 750mast and 780fuselage and really enjoying learning some new skills! I can flat water windsurf doing a bit most years for the last 20+ and have a little bit of past experience with old foil kit from the early days of wind foiling. Weight about 80kg. Question is about the temptation to try the Bee with a 5.5 windsurf sail in light/ moderate wind on flat water lake for a bit of cruising. Do I need to get the 90cm mast or longer windsurf fuselage or a mid size flow wing set to even give it a try, or possible to have some fun with what I have? Would just getting the longer fuselage for the increased stability be worth it? Thanks for the advice.
Hi Tony, sure, give it a try with the existing foil you have there, the longer fuselage is obviously better for control and speed, but the 78 should work ok for a bit of cruising, play around with the position until you find the right spot then?
