:-) I did not test all three of those on the same day obviously...:-) But a short summary:
- 2015 Triwave, quite a nervous shape with quite some V, which rides fairly high out of the water, planes quite early but top end/bigger waves, misses control. Not so easy for lighter riders in stronger winds.
- 2020/21/22 Grip 75 (all same shape) - sails a little lower in the water than the Triwave, better control in higher winds and chop.
- Mamba 78 2021/22 same shape - will feel maybe a bit closer to the Triwave, due to the bottom shape/tri fins setup which always makes boards ride a bit "nose-high" vs Quads which tend to ride in a flatter position in a straight line.
Speed is always subjective, the Trifins ride higher, a bit more free and therefore feel faster. In fact when testing, especially in stronger winds, the Quads are at least as fast, if not faster. But from "feel" the Tri and Mamba will feel "faster". Best winds for your weight, hard to know without your skill level - but presume 15-30knots is ideal, more than that and you should be on a 68 or 60L board over 30knots. But of course it will still work up to 40knots.
