Got to try out the Jag for the first time. Gusty on and off weather for 6.5. Compared to previous boards I was amazed with the acceleration! Looking forward to getting out on it again.
Regarding the fin, it's a very tight fit. The shop said it should be and being a Tuttle box it shouldn't need sanding - they told me to wet it and screw it in. The Tuttle head doesn't sit flush with the bottom of the board, maybe being a 2-3 mm proud. I had to hammer the fin out... I'd say this is too tight but never having a Tuttle fin or freerace board before I guess I could be wrong or it may slacken over time without doing anything.
If I do need to make adjustments to the head of the fin, do I need to take any special care with it being carbon rather than plastic?
What size are the screws for the fin? I screwed the screw partially in to spread the load along the thread before hammering but it was back and forth between hammering, screw out, try to move fin, screw in and repeat. The last time I forgot to unscrew the screw and it bent.
