Hey Craig!
Last week I removed the SABFOIL Kraken base plate from my SkyWing (mod. 2022) and I noticed four "dents" where the base plate was mounted. with the four screws/nuts. The plate was mounted for like a week in this position. I tightened the screws "hand-tight". I did not loosen the screws after winging. I put these foam stickers, which come with the plate, on the plate, so the plate will not scratch the board while moving etc.
The paint came off a little bit and the places feel kinda soft. I also have troubles moving the nuts back and fort in the US-Box without resistance in the area where the plate was mounted. I have to check if the nuts are 100% on the bottom of the US-Box. But usually they are on the bottom when they are put in in track of the US-Box. This sounds like I tighten the screws to much, but like I said I just tightened them hand-tight - like I always did/do.
I had the plate mounted before for a longer periode of time and I never noticed any dents.
I have to say that I started jumping now and I usually land with the stabilizer first. I never hit the bottom of the ocean or lake while winging.
This is kinda weird to me. Don't know if you have any explanation or if you came across this "problem".
Cheers,
Mickey
