Fanatic X Duotone Mast/Fuselage

Hello,

i am thinking about buying a new Mast/Fuselage but i am not quite sure if i'm going for the collab Mast or the normal carbon mast.
Currently i'm using to Wings (2000 HA/ 1250 Free) but the collab says only up to 100cm Wingspan. So my Question is: Is the 2000 HA really not useable with the collab?

I also heard there are new bigger Free Wings coming (or other high aspect wings) and it would be nice to know if the new Wings are bigger then 100cm wingspan in the 1500-2000 cm² sizesrange. Using the 2000 cm² HA is only really a lightwind option and sooner or later i think they get outdated by smaller and more efficient wings.

Hi there, I would go for the stiffer and stronger standard Carbon mast. The Collab/TE is lighter and softer, making it feel a bit spongy with wings over 1500sqm/or wider spans. The standard carbon is still one of the lightest on the market, so unless you are mainly riding wings between 700-1250 on a regular basis, it is better to choose the standard Aero Carbon mast. Bigger sizes of the Free will follow at some stage and will be fairly similar to the current sizing.

Hi Craig,

is the new Aero Glide 1085 compatible with the COLLAB CARBON TE 82 cm Mast?
I am a little bit insecure about the warning that I loose the guarantee if I use it with wings larger than 100 cm.
The wing has exactly 100 cm.

Hi Chris, the 1085 is compatible yes. If you are jumping a lot and landing 360's sideway on the tips of the wings, then you may consider getting a stiffer standard mast, otherwise should be fine.

I jump a lot but i have already the Collab mast.
Is the difference the spongy feeling in the landings or more the higher risk a breakage?

Otherwise is it an awesome mast and a super wing for our lakes in wester Germany.

Hi Chris, hmm, both really...is for sure softer feel, especially with those high aspect Glides....to be honest, if you are really jumping a lot, I would recommend to go for the standard Carbon mast. Have had issues myself with the TE mast + 1305, which is why we put the warning on the masts.
