Hi Craig,
where I sail it’s really shallow sometimes (estuary, lowish high tides at neaps) and my 46cm fin with my Gecko 156 runs aground. I took it out with a 29cm fin today, planing no problem, but hard to turn etc.
I’m thinking of adding thrusters to help manoeuvrability.
Is this a brilliant idea or just bonkers? If the former, roughy where should the thrusters go?
The goal is to create a high volume board that planes in shallow water and is easy to turn, steer etc. I have a smaller board with a 40cm fin but I still like my bigger board (more buoyancy, easier to tack, easier to plane) and the 40cm fin would still be too big.
Thanks
Elliot
