Hi Mike, no worries, glad to help!
Yes, we did adjust fin sizing and box positions to try and keep the smaller % of riders happy who were suffering from spin-outs, although a lot of people really liked the snappy turning of the STB FW. Anyway, the newer shapes are a good blend of slightly longer outline and this really helps in the control, along with a narrower tail. So we found on the 2020-23 (and Duotone 2024) shapes, that we could actually improve all areas of performance, including waveriding, even with a slightly more classic outline. So I would highly recommend looking at the 2020-24 models, with the newer shapes, pretty sure there should be some good deals out there right now?
STD vs TE - depends on the water surface/rider weight/if you are using it for waves or high performance riding. For just cruising back and forth, the STD is fine, riders with a good level will appreciate the stiffer TE for sure.
Good luck there, hope that helps, Craig
